Online HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Courses (incl CPR)

Complete your HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course online, at your own pace and from the comfort of home. Develop practical skills to respond to first aid emergencies in the workplace, at home and in the community through online learning, realistic scenarios and practical video assessments.

We deliver all equipment required for your practical assessments to your door, including a prepaid return postage label. No classroom attendance is required.

Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. Your certificate will be issued once all course and assessment requirements have been met and the equipment has been returned.

This course includes HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support.

Please read before booking

This course involves online learning and practical video assessments using equipment we send to you. Please allow time for equipment delivery, recording your assessments, assessor review and returning the equipment.

This course is not suitable if you need an immediate or same-day certificate.

Before your certificate can be issued, you must:

1. Receive your equipment. We dispatch it within 2–5 business days of booking. Delivery time is additional.
2. Complete the online learning and record your practical assessments. You’ll need a second person to assist with some tasks.
3. Submit your videos for assessor review. You may need to provide further evidence or re-record a task.
4. Return all supplied equipment. A prepaid return postage label is included.

Your certificate will only be issued once you have successfully completed all course and assessment requirements and we have received the returned equipment.

Course Delivery

• Approximately 3 hours of self-paced online learning.
• Practical first aid and CPR assessments completed through video recordings, using the equipment supplied.
• Complete your learning and assessments from home—no classroom attendance required.

Course Content

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Basic emergency life support
• Fractures and dislocations
• Burns and scalds
• Head, chest and spinal injuries
• Fainting and unconsciousness
• Bleeding management and bandaging techniques
• Choking
• Asthma and anaphylaxis
• Poisoning, bites, stings and more

Second Person Required

You’ll need a second person to assist with some practical assessment tasks by acting as the casualty. Please arrange for someone to be available before you begin recording your practical assessments.

Assessment

• Online learning activities and multiple-choice knowledge assessments.
• Practical first aid and CPR demonstrations submitted as video recordings for assessment by a qualified assessor.
• All required assessments must be successfully completed.

Equipment & Certification

All equipment required for your practical assessments is supplied, along with a prepaid return postage label. Your nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued once all course and assessment requirements have been met and the equipment has been returned.
